Our Services
What We Do
Consultancy & Initial Design
AUTOMAC is often used at the initial design phase of a project. We provide, fixed competitive prices for undertaking consultancy services, for example – on-site surveys, conceptual design studies, asset analysis, and user requirement specification services. These initial orders are then offset against the final system project price, and experience has taught us that clients who utilise us at this early opportunity end up with much greater innovation and added-value realisation, reducing the overall whole-life project cost.
+
Application Hardware & Software
AUTOMAC has the experience, knowledge and integration skills to inter-link our clients preferred hardware and software components into one fully functional system. We are regularly employed by Customers to undertake rigorous tests incorporating multiple supplier Hardware/Software solutions to produce a comprehensive recommendation report. Our customers preferred solution is integrated into existing legacy networks or new applications insuring a robust system is reliably delivered.
+
Testing & Validation
AUTOMAC Automation’s four-phased testing procedure has been highly praised and adopted by several of our customers. Another successful strategy here at AUTOMAC is to undertake early module tests, for hardware or software components to be repeated throughout the overall system. As an example of this strategy, AUTOMAC created a “Master Project” for each of our key clients. These master projects contain generic ‘device’ code/modules all pre-tested and developed to client-specific standards.
+
Panel Supply
AUTOMAC designs, builds, tests, and installs LV assemblies of varying sizes and complexities at our dedicated panel shop in Shanghai, China, with support from trusted partners for larger-scale panels. Our solutions include intelligent assemblies (e.g., DeviceNet, Profibus, or Ethernet-based systems), conventional MCCs, stand-alone ICA control panels, Network Node Boxes (NNBs), UPS systems, and solar-powered solutions. We also frequently modify existing on-site assets by expanding functionality or capacity, or by replacing legacy PLCs, HMIs, telemetry, or SCADA components — all with minimal downtime.
+
Installations
Electrical and Network Installation activities are regularly provided as part of our total system solutions. We have many project examples where we have partnered to include extensive power cabling, signal cabling, network cabling, and LV Assembly installation services as part of our own project managed activities. This requires us to supply P&ID diagrams, cable schedules, single line diagrams, G.A drawings, and other detailed design and as built construction diagrams.
+
Commissioning
Commissioning phases often include I/O and loop testing, Profibus / Ethernet node configurations and cable tests, instrument configuration and calibration, software functional testing and site acceptance testing (SAT’s). Commissioning services also encompass – 30 day trials, hand over activities, training and on-going support.
+
Total Systems Solutions
AUTOMAC customers require us to offer scalable solutions. Some require a simple, PLC and HMI in an ICA control panel, but more and more of our activities are moving towards a competitive ‘Total System Solution’. By this, we mean one single order to AUTOMAC or one of our tailored partnerships/alliances to undertake a complete design, build and deliver of the total EICA service. This normally consists of acting as Principal Contractor or Designer, design, build and install of all LV Assemblies, all on-site electrical installation services and all of the ICA control system software for PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA and Telemetry. In these circumstances, our CDM experience and overall project management skills enable a competitive, innovative solution to be delivered on time and within budget.
+
Documentation
AUTOMAC supply complete project documentation including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Detailed Control Philosophy’s, System Design Specifications (SDS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), System Architecture diagrams and implementation strategies, plans and drawings.
+
Support Contracts
AUTOMAC Automation promotes the importance of customer care and service support throughout our organisation.

We provide post-sales support in a variety of different ways tailored to suit our customer’s individual needs. All systems are supported by a minimum 1 year warranty. However, in addition to this many of our clients take up annual Support and Maintenance Contracts which are tailored to suit their specific requirements.

Materials Handling
Automac has specialised in automated warehousing and material-conveying systems for many years.
Our portfolio ranges from straightforward GUI tailoring and SCADA integration through to complete PLC/HMI turnkey packages.
For several consecutive years, we worked exclusively on multiple flagship warehousing programmes for major logistics-automation providers in Singapore, Hong Kong and China, delivering AVEVA InTouch-based solutions on Siemens S7 PLC platforms.
In addition, we fully automated a die-storage facility for an aluminium-extrusion manufacturer, supplying ICA and MCC panels that drive conveyors and bridge cranes designed for continuous 24/7 operation.
We continue to support these sites under long-term service agreements and are now rolling out similar solutions for further large-scale material-handling projects across the region.
Bespoke Projects
Automac is frequently asked to scope and cost special, one-off automation undertakings. We are proud to have delivered the following projects:

Project Director – Baowu Clean Energy
“Automac partnered with Baowu Clean Energy on China’s first 100-MW molten-salt concentrated-solar-power project in Nyêmo County, Tibet. The scope covered the full automation upgrade and commissioning of four critical pump trains—including the heat-transfer-oil main pump, mirror-field circulation pump, and both cold- and hot-salt pumps—together with hot-standby Siemens S7-1500 PLCs, a redundant PROFINET ring, SIL-rated safety loops, and a remote VPN diagnostic gateway operating at 4,500 m elevation.
Throughout the 12-month campaign, Automac rapid mobilisation, rigorous high-altitude safety procedures, and meticulous loop-tuning enabled the plant to achieve >99 % availability just two weeks after synchronisation, setting a national benchmark for Chinese CSP facilities. Their contribution was pivotal in the project securing both the 2025 China Power Engineering Excellence Award (Renewables Category) and the Tibet Autonomous Region Green Innovation Prize.
Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to every member of the Automac team whose dedication and ICA expertise were instrumental to the success of this landmark programme.”
Principal Project Engineer – Siemens Medium Voltage
“On behalf of the Siemens Medium Voltage Business Unit, I am pleased to recommend Automac Technology for the outstanding support they delivered on three recent MV switchgear modernisation projects: Suzhou Industrial Park 110 kV Substation, Shenzhen Qianhai Data Centre, and Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Zone. Automac met every Siemens Health, Safety and Environmental requirement and followed our commissioning procedures to the letter. All works were executed safely, in full compliance with IEC standards and local HSE guidelines. I wholeheartedly endorse Automac Technology for their professionalism, their ability to translate written policies into effective field practice, and the overall quality of service they provide.”
